To be fair, in the case of exosomes, you can’t kill the messenger, anymore than you can kill a sneeze or an itch.
All the same, this harbinger of modern illness, is not one to welcome or ignore, but one to ward off
Exosomes are extracellular vesicles that carry messages within and between cells. They are not separate, invasive, or contagious agents. They carry proteins, RNA, DNA, and other fragments of cellular information.
Whether exosomes and viruses are different entities remains to be seen. They both:
carry genetic material between cells
are less than 300 nanometers in size
are present in varying concentrations according to the health of nearby cells
Exosomes are as alive as any other component of the human body; they are not half alive and half dead parasitic automatons out to infect the body. Exosomes are not separate entities; we are not their host. They are part of us, signals of our condition, and thus present in higher concentration when we are more ill.
If we can decipher the messages that exosomes are carrying, we might discover what is making us ill.
An exosome with a specific genetic signature is likely to indicate a specific illness. Is this what the oft-misunderstood PCR tests really detect? Exosomes signalling that nearby cells are starved for oxygen could conceivably tend to express or convey a distinct (spiky) protein.
On the other hand, a quick glance at the mounting toxicity in our environment, culture, and lifestyles might save us the trouble of all that nanoscopic analysis.
Are virologists the new Geocentrists?
? Or are they more akin to the Flat-Earthers
in Plato’s day: confronted with a wealth of evidence that could correct their perspective, but paralyzed in self-righteous ignorance by the fear of change and the inertia of incumbency?
What if covid is not a disease with only one imperceptible cause that only a $200K electron microscope can detect?
What if there is no isolatable cause, but every aspect of our world is correlated with our well-being
A pathogen isolated from its terrain is innocuous.
Ignoring the terrain blinds us to the nature of illness.
When we observe the habits, conditions, and factors that coincide with covid, do we find it to be a disease traceable to a single, virulent, contagious pathogen, or is the covid condition more accurately a disease in its purest form: a lack of ease?
No matter whether virus or germ, or terrain is to blame, we’re in a bad vein. We need to reframe.
The generalized lack of ease that has become endemic to our culture correlates significantly with:
Side effects of civilization may include unsound mind, fitful sleep, depression, obesity, diabetes, Alzheimer’s, autism, heart disease, infection, inflammation, cancer, sleep debt, auto-immune disease, anxiety, PTSD, grief, paralysis, self-doubt, broken families, cancer, stressful work habits, compulsive porn bingeing, addiction, drug abuse, heart disease, cancer, suicide, Glyphosate a.k.a. Roundup poisoning…
…and microwave radiation poisoning, carpal tunnel syndrome, bitter loneliness, hopeless isolation, ego ossification, imposter syndrome, desperate bullying, victim shaming, helpless addiction, and accidental suicide. And cancer. And shortness of breath, loss of sensation, poor taste, deeply unshakeable fatigue, and crusty, hideous malaise. And despair, despondency, rage, fury; just furious, aimless anger. Outrage channeled as over-saturated, under-edited pseudo-poetry 😉
None of these factors alone is the “cause” of illness, just as anything can be a symptom of covidianism. But all of these facets of ill being
point back to the same pestilent root of our illustrious Anthropocene Extinction Event:
